Seal History 40 Years in the Making
CDI Energy Products was founded by Cott Donwall in Houston, Texas in 1974 as a distributor of o-rings, polyseals and braided packing. By 1979 they were awarded their first patent for non-adjustable rod packing and by the 1980 they had developed their own plastics processing operation. With an in-house engineering team brought in by 1982, CDI quickly became one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of seals, bushings and bearings, and valves.
